I am building a storage shed in my back yard and want to run power from the house out to the shed. I understand that I need to run a sub feed off the main panel to another sub-panel at the shed. Im not sure what type of cable I need, and what type of circuit breakers I need. Can you help?

The shed is at max 75 feet (could be a little less) from where the main breaker panel in the garage is located. I plan to have 3 outlets inside and 2 lights, one overhead flouresent, and one mounted outside next to the door.

Nothing major. At the most we might want to power a radio, perhaps power tools, or even mabey a compressor. I had an electrician come out and he recommended a 30 amp 220 volt ckt. I couldn't afford what he wanted to charge me to do the whole thing. So Im trying to do as much of it as I can on my own.

Nothing 220. He just recommended it, in case later down the road we might want to power a compressor. Right now we don't have one.

I probably will. Do I need to go back and create a new question, or can we just continue on with this one.

Ok, You mentioned in your previous answer that I would need to run the new line from my main panel to a junction box inside the shed. Is the junction box the same thing as a "Sub Panel".
